Huffington’s year-end double issue presents the biggest news of the 2013, all through the prism of photography. It covers key categories, from national and international news to entertainment and innovations, and includes analysis from top experts in the field. Throughout, it is an effortless, visually engaging way to pause and relive the year’s most memorable moments.
Via MagCulture: Bob Newman is one of the key figures of contemporary US editorial design. Not only a prolific creative director – Details, Fortune, Real Simple, Entertainment Weekly and New York are just a few of the magazines on his resumé – his generosity of spirit has been a huge influence on the industry, latterly via blogging and tweeting as Newmanology. Earlier this year he suffered a serious accident that left him unable to work, since when he has been going through the slow process of rehabilitation. Here he looks ahead at his week and shares his thoughts as his Newmanology presence re-emerges online.
The Huffington magazine design team with their copies of My Favo(u)rite Magazine (L-R: Martin Gee, Josh Klenert, Troy Dunham, Andrea Nasca). My Favo(u)rite Magazine is a benefit project for myself and my family. It’s a collection of 88 publication editors and art directors describing their favorite magazines. Proceeds from the project will help defray the costs of my recent accident and recovery. Get your copy of My Favo(u)rite Magazine at Magculture. Thanks Martin, Josh, Troy, and Andrea!
